“Well, I will go down, if you hold the rope".
John Ryland speaking of William Carey
Hold the Rope.
Invest in Eternity.
William Carey, an early enthusiastic missionary who understood the importance of going to the unreached, first elicited this image of a ‘ropeholder’ as he charged his comrade Andrew Fuller that “while [they] lived, [they] should never let go of the rope”.
For those that don’t physically go and become cross-cultural missionaries, the responsibility then becomes joining those that are sending and supporting, the Ropeholders, for those that are venturing into the pit of mission work among the unreached.
Joining as a Ropeholder means you will commit to a monthly partnership that enables missionaries to reach the mission field and continue sustainable ministry!
